I’m Cindy Stuart and I want to earn your vote for Clerk of the Circuit Court. The Clerk’s Office provides critical services to you and deserves a strong, ethical leader.
The Clerk touches all of our lives, serving the public from cradle to grave, including adoptions, marriage licenses, deeds, wills, child support, jury duty and traffic tickets. The Clerk also serves as an independent watchdog on Hillsborough County government, auditing its finances and ensuring that its spending follows the law.
I want to use my skills to make sure that every customer who uses the Clerk’s office feels valued, and is treated fairly and with respect. I want you to know that whatever business you have with the Clerk’s Office is handled efficiently, and that public records are safe and accurate.
My experience and reputation as a two-term elected school board member, overseeing the eighth largest school system in the country with a $3 billion budget qualifies me to lead the Clerk’s Office.
In those eight years I have focused on deficits and areas that we could maximize our dollars due to cuts from the state and competition. As well, I have always been a proponent of doing the work more efficiently for our students and staff. I’ve made difficult decisions both financially and on a policy level that effect 212,000 students in this community and 26,000 district employees.
I will bring that same focus, drive and ingenuity to the Clerk’s Office.
Pat Frank, who is retiring, has been an ethical, strong leader as clerk. That’s why I am very proud that she is supporting me. I want to build on her success and offer stellar customer service with integrity, transparency, accountability and security.
Please vote for Cindy Stuart on August 18.
